This policy explains how Database Reactivation - a trading name of ProfitWize, a partnership - uses cookies and similar technologies on databasereactivation.co.uk. It should be read alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle your personal data more generally, and our Terms & Conditions.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember your preferences, and to give the site owner information about how the site is used. Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies) and some are set by other companies whose services appear on a site (third-party cookies). We also use “cookies” here as a shorthand for similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, that do a comparable job.
How we use cookies
Cookies are usually grouped into four categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies make the site work - for example, keeping a logged-in session secure. The site can’t run properly without these, so they don’t require your consent.
- Analytics cookies help a site owner understand how visitors find and use the site.
- Functional cookies support features such as an embedded booking tool.
- Marketing cookies help measure and improve advertising.
We keep our use of cookies deliberately minimal. For visitors to our public website, we don’t set any cookies at all. We don’t use analytics cookies, functional cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking. The only cookie we set is a strictly necessary session cookie for our own team when they log in to our private admin area - it is never set for ordinary visitors.
How we count visits
We do measure how many people visit our pages, but we do it without cookies. Our page-view counter records only the page visited and the time, on our own server - no IP address, no cookie, and nothing that identifies you or follows you across other websites. If you ever want to be excluded, adding ?notrack to any page stores a single flag in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie) so we don’t count you again.
Your consent
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), non-essential cookies may only be set once you have given your consent. Because our public website sets no analytics, functional or marketing cookies, there is nothing to consent to - which is why you won’t see a cookie banner on our site. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies in future, we will ask for your consent first and only set them once you have agreed.

That is the complete list. We do not run Google Analytics, we have no advertising or Facebook pixel, and we do not embed any third-party tool that sets a cookie on our website.
Third-party cookies
We don’t embed third-party services that set cookies on our site. When you book a call, the booking opens on our provider Cal.com’s own website, where Cal.com’s cookie and privacy policies apply rather than this one. If you follow links from our site to other websites, those sites may set their own cookies, which we don’t control.
How to manage or disable cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse or remove cookies, and set a preference for future sites. Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge and Firefox all provide cookie controls in their settings or preferences menus. Blocking cookies won’t affect your use of our public site, since we don’t set any there.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for legal or operational reasons. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the “Last updated” date above.
